This is a report about Mrs A case a 76 year old lady who broke her arm and wrist on Jul 24th 2004

She fell against the bath and had a clean break of humerous cleanly at the top near the shoulder and the Scaphoid bone of her wrist, which was not spotted for 1 month. The breaks were incredibly painful and it was difficult for her to sleep. Her Arm had swollen considerably.
Being an elderly lady she was put on Calcium Citrate with Vitamin D and the remedy Symphytum 6c 3 times per day.

She was seen by the Hospital each month and after the first month there was no improvement and another X-ray detected wrist fracture. The wrist had become more swollen over t the last month. The wrist was strapped and thought to be partially responsible for the humerous not healing.

Her consultant also prescribed physiotherapy twice per week.

After 3months, there was still no progress in her healing. So we decided to put her on Betaine Hydrochloride plus other digestive aids to help her absorb Calcium.

After another 2 months and seeing her consultant she was warned that if there were no progress in the next month she would need and surgery and pins putting in the bones.

This caused this elderly great anxiety, as she was petrified of an operation.

Broken Arm heals at last.
J is a fit young 18 year old male rugby player. He was a good player and in one particular game he had his left arm badly broken just above the elbow.
