Molluscum contagiosum is a viral infection of the skin. It's more common in
children, although anyone can get it. Small, wart-like swellings appear on the
skin, often in clusters. Molluscum contagiosum is not serious and usually clears
up in 12 /18 months without any treatment.
Molluscum contagiosum spreads through skin to skin contact and sharing towels
and clothes. This is why its so common among children, who play together, share
toys and are constantly with other children at nursery or school. However, most
people are resistant to the virus, and there is generally no need to keep
children off school.
Several of our customers have found Colloidal Silver Gel to be particularly
effective at treating this condition. It should be applied 2 -3 times per day.
