Proud Flesh.
For those of you that have never heard of proud flesh it is summarised as
follows:-
Nature wants to heal wounds, but horses have a particular problem with
wound healing, particularly on the lower parts of the limbs, which results in
the development of large fleshy outgrowths, known as "proud flesh" or
granulation tissue.
Granulation tissue is a normal component of naturally healing wounds.
Normal granulation tissue looks red-pink in colour and has a flat surface
without obvious clefts or changes in colour. It is the base upon which the new
skin surface cells are supported while they migrate across the wound to provide a
healed surface. In horses this can be slow and results in proud flesh.
This Customer's horse had been suffering for about a year before she
came across Colloidal Silver Gel and gave it a try. She and her vet were amazed
about the result.
This is a very interesting illustration of Colloidal Silver actually promotes
healing; we think of Colloidal Silver mostly as an anti-microbial agent. So if
you have any wound that is failing to heal Colloidal Silver Gel, could be worth
a try.
